Since 3 to 6 November 2003 MRC took part in composition of stand FSUE "Russian television and radiobroadcast network" in international exhibition of professional equipment and technologies for teleradiobroadcast "TRBE-2003", which pass in Moscow, in exhibition complex "Expocenter".

The Government of the Russian Federation has received a Loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) towards implementation of the Ostankino Television Tower Rehabilitation Project.
In this connection we announce a competition for consultant's services for assistance in the project management "Rehabilitation and Modernization of the Ostankino TV Tower".

Run up on Ostankino Tower 2 jun 2001

In spite of large difficulties, related to the liquidation of consequences
of fire on Ostankino Tower (August, 2000) and it's restoration, the traditional
Run up on the tower took place. This year the contest was unusual for many reasons.
At first, Main TV and BC Center has organised and conducted the run up
without any sponsors' help. Secondly, the participants of the run up on height of 337
meters (1706 steps) were the builders and the assemblers, personally
participating in restoration of the tower.
This year 18 sportsmen have handed the
application, but only 14 of them have taken part in the competition ( 4
sportsmen have not passed medical examination). For this festive occasion the
interior of the observation deck had been restored. Granite floors, the
gilded ceilings, transparent windows have made an indelible impression on the
journalists, who also climbed the whole distance to the observation deck
by foot to meet the participants and make their photos in unforgettable
moment of finish.
Oleg Filimonov (19 years old), the youngest participant of the run up,
representing the building firm "ELKON", has taken the first place. His time was 12 min. 49 sec.
Maksim Golubev (23 years old), representing Ostankino tower, has taken the
second place. His time was 12 min. 22 sec.
The third place have been taken
by the oldest participant Vitaliy Fedoreev (52 years old), representing
the building company "ELKON" with the result of 13 min. 36 sec.
The prize-winners have been awarded with costly presents. All participants
have been marked off with the memorable diplomas and souvenirs.
The sport show was widely illustrated by mass media.

In particular:
- The 6th TV channel appeared on air with the adjusting table (1 kW transmitter).
- Program TV-6 was put on air.
- TV channel 8 (program NTV) was put on air (1 kW transmitter).
- Channel 46 with TV-3 program was put on air (level 348 m).
- Channel 38 with BIZ-TV program was put on air (level 348 m).
- Program M1 was put on air (channel 31).
- Nowaday the TV Broadcasting from Ostankino Tower is almost recommenced completely.
- October 14 at 19:00 all VHF FM transmitters had been plug in. They work in low power rate (2.5 kw). The antenna is arranged at 257m.

Information about fire on the Ostankino Tower - Main TV and BC Center

Sunday 27.08.2000 on Ostankino TV Tower there was a fire of feeders. This feeders
connected transmitters with antennas, situated on the top of the Tower. Next day by
forces of the firemen, Ministry of extreme situations and operational staff of the Tower
the distribution of a fire was halted.

In the proximate period under the temporary scheme the broadcasting from Ostankino
Tower around Moscow will be retrieved. 30.08.2000 in the evening is planned to begin
broadcasting "РТР" company on the 11 channel.

At the observation deck of Ostankino TV Tower the new plasmic video
screen was installed recently where the visitors will be shown video films
about the history of Ostankino Tower and the sights of Moscow from the birdТs eye view!

In the Excursion building of Ostankino TV Tower the new TV-Bar
was opened recently where you can find a different kinds of ice-cream,
spirits, tea, coffee and confectionery. There are two non-stop working
video screens in TV-Bar where you can place your advertisement.

Main TV & BC Center - SPONSOR of the " WEEK of HIGH TOURISM"!

Main TV & BC Center in the person of the General Director V. Misyulin is the sponsor of the "Week of High Tourism ", which will be held on March 21-25, 2000 in a tourist complex "Izmaylovo".
On March 22, 2000 Ostankino Tower is receiving the visitors. One hundred representatives of various regional travel companies will visit the observation platform of the Tower, restaurant "The Seventh Heaven ", new " TV Bar " and photo gallery of World Federation of Great Towers.
At the visitors service there are the excursion, museum of the Tower and friendly conversation with the Tower's employees at the restaurant table.
