Ostankino TV Tower would join environmental action “Hour of Earth”

On Saturday, March 19, from 20:30 to 21:30 o’clock, Moscow time, Ostankino TV Tower would join large-scale environmental action “Hour of Earth”. Architectural and artist illumination of over thousand of notable objects of the capital city would turn off for 60 minutes. Amongst such objects are such buildings as the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, “Luzhniki” Stadium, New Arbat houses, Tver Street, buildings of stations, bridges, theatres, and museums.

“Hour of Earth” is an international action, within the scope of which WWF appeals for turning off the light and household electric appliances for one hour as a sign of unindifference to future of the planet. Over 2 billion of persons all around the world from over 170 countries and nearly 7000 cities participate in such action.
