XXIV annual conference of the Global Federation of Great Towers

XXIV annual conference of the Global Federation of Great Towers mainly devoted to “Successful Development in Hard Times” took place from 16 to 20 of October 2011 in Macao city (Special Administrative District of China). Delegation from Ostankino TV Tower headed by the Director, Konstantin Kudryavtsev, had successfully participated in the conference and had presented the “Program for development of tourism and entertainment activity at Ostankino Tower”.

This year, the conference became the record-setting by the number of declared participants: 57 delegates from 23 towers.

Besides traditional sessions, during which participants of the conference had exchanged their experience and had given their speeches, conference initiators had arranged for exhibition of manufacturers of goods and services used in “tower” business.

End of the conference was marked by election of the New Director of the Global Federation of Great Towers, Daniel Thomas, temporarily heading the Federation within the last six months, extension of the Management Committee by two representatives from China besides its ex-members from Berlin, Paris, Chicago, and Toronto, as well as determination of venue of the next conference, which would be Seattle (USA).
